IDK THIS IS ALWAYS FUN.

So you obviously go on urbandictionary.com and type in your charries' names and see what's up.. Doesn't need to be the first one. Anything goes! So long as you don't write it yourself, of course.

The bar wasn't smokey and didn't smell like piss and drink, but the atmosphere was still bleak. People used to sing and dance in this bar, but with the implemented curfew and presence of German uniformed men in various booths and barstools, a sobriety fell over the place, turning the chorus of voices to low, the worn floor absent of moving feet. Luca had been thankful for it last night when he'd come in for a drink. Having done so only because it felt better to go to a bar and drink instead of laying across his couch alone - but he'd been in no mood for any merry festivities. To be honest, he still wasn't.

That didn't stop his fingers from hovering over the dial of his phone hours before, or turning the set of numbers with little reluctance, sighing when there was finally a ring on the other end. The housekeeper picked it up, naturally. It's not like his call had been expected. It crossed his mind that she wouldn't be in. That he couldn't even leave a message because the housekeeper obviously spoke no French. He squeezed his eyes shut after he asked to speak with her, anticipating a disappointing answer. Instead he was informed to wait.

He couldn't help but allow the smallest of upturn in his lips to take place as she answered the phone. He didn't waste time with small talk, just leaned forward from his perch on his chair and asked her to meet him. He supposed that was forward.

Il ya eu une certaine .. changements dans ma vie. Vous voulez me rencontrer quelque part?

He was sure the way his voice fell at the proposition that she was sure he wasn't being anything but forward.

But with the way they talked, the way she'd freely given him the number to call, he could guess that she didn't mind too much. Especially after she'd accepted his offer without much deliberation.

So he'd given her the details, and there he sat, just a few minutes early upon their agreed arrival time. It was just a place in Chelsea, one that was stocked with fair liquor and not riddled with too many drunks. If there were any, they were the quiet type, happy in their stupor and with their brew at some booth to themselves. He sipped at a beer idly, ears pricked to his surroundings by habit, but otherwise oblivious and uncaring as to the going ons around him. It certainly wasn't a lively, or even a nice place by any means, but it was close to his apartment. And for an arrangement like this one, he figured that feature alone would suffice.

Because he was tired of sleeping alone.

The glimmer of the ring on his left hand was too distracting to drive with, so Luca had pulled it off, setting it in the car's ashtray for safe keeping. The weight of it was something he wasn't used to, and by all accounts, just kept reminding him of his father's gold ring - the one he wore up until the day Luca decided to take his butcher's knife to that finger and virtually every other appendage of his. It'd grown grimy around his finger, dirt and blood and flesh all collected underneath. All the time Luca had lived with his father he never took off that damned ring.

Luckily, Luca felt zero regret or guilt in tossing the little morsel of gold into the ashtray. Because that was all it was. He was bound by no creed or contract into marriage - unless you counted the information packet he'd received from Headquarters a week before as a binding document - which it was. So he was married after all. But only for a day.

As for his make-shift wife, he'd only met her once. The though made him crack a grin. Of course this was all staged for a simple mission, but the idea of predetermined marriage on the HOUNDS agenda was amusing. And terrifying. Luca had CO's that were married and with children, although the idea itself never appealed to him. With the Nazis rising to power and infiltrating the organization, however, he knew in a matter of years the ideal of every aryan man married with children would be encouraged.

Luca killed the engine and twisted the ring back on his left hand. He'd be her escort on this little rendezvous, even if he had minimal spy-type training. He knew he was to be the muscle, if things did get rough. The husband ploy just made a good excuse for him to actually be there. And despite his training having shifted focus into a soldier, his people-reading skills were honed enough to aid her in more ways than the-man-with-the-guns. Where she had the upper hand in acute training, he made up for in age and experience. The HOUNDS wouldn't have put them together if they weren't going to be a good team.

He straitened his hat and rapped his knuckles over the wood of her building. A housekeeper opened it, allowing him into the foyer. She was an older woman - portly and humble looking. It was obvious this Maris woman rented the place on her own salary, that this was no HOUND building. He was offered a seat - coffee - some cookies, all declined. That seemed to put the woman into a flurry until he finally asked which room Ingrid lived in. Then her face changed to one of a flustered old woman to some incredulous shock. Oh, yes, that's right. It would be improper to visit her alone on her quarters, wouldn't it?

Luca wasn't one for social regulations such as those.

But he agreed to waiting while Ingrid was summoned down, anyway.

KAUFFMANN
bestfriend
german - 32 - 1ST LT.
LEE PACE/OPEN

Here we have Kauffmann. He's a HOUND soldier with an entirely open history as far as what drove or brought him to the organization is concerned. He's a level headed guy, perhaps more adept at strategizing than actual combat. He makes for a helluva good leader, though, and definitely someone you want in your good graces. I see him as being a sort of outlier in the HOUND community, someone that's more patient than hot-headed and bloodthirsty. At the same time he would definitely know how to get work done, or else he wouldn't be here.

Anyway, he'd be very useful to Kalem in more ways than one. More of a rash guy himself, having a first lieutenant that makes him catch himself before he does something too dangerous with the Company would be good. Not only that, but I think they'd compliment each other rather well. Basically I'm saying they'd be total bros.

Luca got shot in France, though, so I suspect Kauffmann got to take over the Company in his leave. Anyway, Kauffmann was probably the one to get Luca the fuck out of the frontlines before he bled to death, so he's sort of forever in his friend's debt, anyway.

Discussion of further details is totally a must <3 Maybe they knew each other in the organization before they were deployed and everything, and Kauffmann looked up to Luca a little bit or something, which would just add a little more dynamic, especially since he saved Luca's life.

Face is totes negotiable, as well as any other minor details. Reading Luca's application or <a href=http://wcsrpg.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=452">timeline might give you a better feel for the times in which everything happened if you do decide to take him up <3

Meet Colonel Ebner. His history and personality are pretty open. I just had to request him because lbr Fassy/Liam is too hard to pass up. Plus, Luca didn't really have parents. He grew up with an abusive father. Then he murdered that abusive father. So, a father-figure in adulthood might do him some good? Perhaps Ebnder was the one to notice Luca's potential when he was just in the regular old military, then moved him on to be a HOUND. Luca definitely looks up to the guy, and through the years has learned to be more candid with him, seeing him more as a friend or family member than a commanding officer. But still, he knows when to show his more familiar side.

Anyway, as far as details go, I don't have much with this request. I'd like to think Ebner has the best in mind for Luca, but maybe that's not the case and he's just a great liar and using him? It's mostly up to you, all I ask is for, at least on the surface, a very father/son dynamic from these two :)!
